I also read your Asia Trip 2005...Excellent article! I also read your Asia Trip 2005 blog. I was on the outskirts of Saigon at Tan Son Nhut air base in '66 w/the US Army. My job was was unzipping body bags, unrolling ponchos that had been used for the same, processing the remains of US servicemen and other allies to south VN and delivering the aluminum shipping cases w/the remains back to the flight line. Those in the cases felt the pain of war no more. Thanks for the pics of downtown Saigon-I caught glances of the same between our tent city compound and the mortuary.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
