I think she is the most thought-provoking and inspiring author I have ever read. I hope I live to see the day when people can just be writers, or artists, or politicians, or whatever, and not be notable for being <I>black</I> writers or <I>Asian</I> politicians. <BR/><BR/>I wish I could remember where I saw this, but I recently read a quotation from someone who noted that you're not equal when you can get into the nice restaurants, you're equal when you can get <I>kicked out</I> of the nice restaurants.
